Born in Vietnam
in 1964, Rev. Thai Tue first came to the United States in 1983.
He was
ordained as a monk in 1996 at Thuong Chieu Monastery by Ven. Zen Master
Thich Thanh Tu, who was responsible for founding many monasteries in Vietnam. Rev. Thai Tue became abbot at Tâm Quang Temple
in Bradley, Michigan in 2002. In 2007,
he founded Great
Wisdom Meditation Center/Chua Dai Hue in Wayland, Michigan.
Rev.
Thai Tue’s open, caring and straight-forward manner helps guide
students
on their path towards greater spiritual awareness through the
practice of meditation. Continuing the Zen Buddhist tradition, he helps
students see the true nature of the human condition by first looking
inward to come to a greater understanding themselves. Through this
process, students not only come to a deeper understanding of
themselves, but apply lessons learned in their everyday lives to come
to a deeper and more spiritual understanding of the world around them
and discover what it truly means to be alive.
